Energy and Hajrulla are parting company
Striker Romarjo Hajrulla Returns to Rot-Weiß Erfurt After One-Year Stint at FC Energie Cottbus
After a year-long tenure at FC Energie Cottbus, striker Romarjo Hajrulla is set to return to Rot-Weiß Erfurt. The news was announced on the club's Instagram channel, confirming that the termination of Hajrulla's contract with FC Energie Cottbus was by mutual agreement and with immediate effect.
Hajrulla struggled to secure a regular starting position at Energie Cottbus, playing only ten competitive games for the club, seven of which were in the 3rd division. Claus-Dieter Wollitz, head coach of FC Energie Cottbus, commented on Hajrulla's departure, wishing him all the best for the future.
Hajrulla's contract with Rot-Weiß Erfurt was initially from early 2022 until summer 2024. He had previously played for the club during this period before joining FC Energie Cottbus. Now, he starts at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt once again, continuing his career in the third division.
The 28-year-old striker began his professional football journey in 2015, playing for various clubs in the German third division. He has proven to be a reliable striker, scoring numerous goals throughout his career. Despite the brief interlude at FC Energie Cottbus, Hajrulla is eager to continue his successful run with Rot-Weiß Erfurt.
The termination of Hajrulla's contract with FC Energie Cottbus marks the end of a chapter in his career, but it also opens a new door for him to rekindle his form and contribute to Rot-Weiß Erfurt's success in the upcoming seasons.
