Georg von Wagner, spokesperson for Deutsche Telekom, confirmed that demand for bandwidth is increasing by around 30% per year. To cater to this growing demand, Telekom has commissioned a new antenna site in Dresden and now operates a total of 187 sites in the city.
The Telekom mobile sites in Dresden are also equipped to provide emergency services with accurate location data. This is crucial in emergencies such as major fires, gas explosions, or floods, for which Cell Broadcast alerts might be used.
