Enhances rhythm production on Mac and iPad with upgraded features in Logic Pro software
Logic Pro, Apple's professional digital audio workstation, has received updates for both Mac and iPad, bringing new features and improvements to the world of beat making and music production.
As of May 28, Logic Pro for Mac and iPad users can enjoy the benefits of Logic Pro for Mac 11.2 and Logic Pro for iPad 2.2. Existing users can update for free, while new users can purchase Logic Pro for Mac for $199.99 (U.S.) and Logic Pro for iPad for $4.99 (U.S.) per month or $49 (U.S.) per year, with a one-month free trial available for new users.
The latest updates introduce several exciting additions. The Stem Splitter feature now offers enhanced audio fidelity and supports guitar and piano stems, providing musicians with more control over their compositions. Additionally, the Tosin Abasi sound pack showcases progressive metal guitar with boutique amps, unique effects, distinctive picking techniques, and the artist's signature riffs.
Logic Pro for Mac and iPad also introduces new sound packs, including Dancefloor Rush, Magnetic Imperfections, and Tosin Abasi. Dancefloor Rush features over 400 dynamic loops, punchy drum kits, and a custom Live Loops grid, perfect for creating dance music. Magnetic Imperfections captures the raw, unpolished essence of analog tape, adding a unique analog feel to your productions.
The updates also introduce a new submix feature, allowing users to export only selected parts of audio, providing greater flexibility in the mixing process. Furthermore, Flashback Capture allows users to recover unrecorded performances, ensuring no creative moments are lost. However, it's important to note that audio support for Flashback Capture requires Logic Pro to be in active play mode.
Logic Pro for Mac and iPad also supports connecting third-party external microphones, musical instruments, or MIDI controllers, but only with devices compatible with iOS and iPadOS. For more information, visit our website our website/logic-pro for Mac and our website/logic-pro-for-ipad for iPad.
For those interested in learning more about MIDI control, Logic Pro now offers Learn MIDI on iPad, allowing users to control plug-ins, instruments, and other parameters within Logic Pro using MIDI devices. However, the new version of Logic Pro for iPad with the "Learn MIDI" function is not explicitly announced or given a release date as of now (September 2025).
Lastly, Apple Intelligence is available in beta on iPad mini (A17 Pro), and all iPad and Mac models with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to specific languages as part of an iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia software update. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.
