Enlarged range of solutions tailored for offshore operations

In an exciting development, Chris Parr, the CTO of Sella Controls, has expressed his enthusiasm about the expanded portfolio that the affiliation with the HIMA Group brings. This expansion is set to benefit the European offshore industry, particularly operators and contractors in the UK, Norway, and continental Europe.

At a recent industry event, the HIMA Group showcased its expanded safety automation portfolio, including the independent, open "HIMA Safety Platform." Highlights at the HIMA booth also included the showcasing of the platform's versatile applications, such as SCADA+, a flexible and scalable platform for controlling and visualizing wind and hydrogen plants, oil and gas facilities, and now offering additional application possibilities in combination with HIMA solutions.

One of the key integrations is that of Sella Controls and Origo Solutions, which has expanded HIMA's safety automation portfolio. The "HIMA Safety Platform" forms the basis of HIMA's safety solutions, certified by TÜV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and DNV.

The platform ensures functional safety, OT security, compliance with standards, process efficiency, and plant availability. Solutions such as FLOWorX offer precise real-time monitoring and seamless integration for wind and hydrogen plants, oil and gas facilities, and hydrogen pipelines. High-Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) with HIMA Planar4 technology are suitable for critical offshore applications up to SIL 4.

The integration also opens up new possibilities for offshore projects, with synergies between Sella Controls' solutions and HIMA's expertise coming to the fore. The HIMA Safety Platform unites hardware and software on a single technology platform with a uniform security concept.

In addition, HIMA Group presents solutions for the entire energy mix at SPE Offshore Europe 2025, including Safety Platforms, SCADA+, HIMA Planar4 Technology, Turbomachine Control, FLOWorX for Pipeline Management & Control, and SafeHMI. SafeHMI with integrated safety functions enables safe visualization and intuitive user guidance for secure and efficient plant operation throughout the lifecycle.

High-Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) with HIMA Planar4 technology offers high-reliability overpressure protection suitable for critical offshore applications up to SIL 4. FLOWorX - Pipeline Management & Control is a holistic solution for leak detection and pipeline management, now also suitable for hydrogen pipelines, that enables precise real-time monitoring and seamless integration into existing infrastructures.

Turbomachinery Control (TMC) includes new load distribution functions and is a complete solution for SIL 3 compliant turbomachine control. SLD-Cockpits, innovative dashboards ensure compliance with standards and efficiency gains through automatic monitoring of operational data and identification of optimization potential for safety and productivity. These dashboards cover the entire safety lifecycle, from engineering to plant operation and change management.

Jörg de la Motte, CEO of the HIMA Group, stated that the expanded solution portfolio is presented for the first time at SPE Offshore Europe 2025 at Stand 1U31. The HIMA Group pursues a clear digitalization strategy under the motto #safetygoesdigital.
