On Monday, August 18, 2025, several political gatherings took place in the northern part of Nuremberg. The day began with a procession starting from the first-mentioned gathering, moving through the city. Around the same time, a group of around 30 counter-protesters sat down on the roadway of Spittlertorgraben near Fürther Tor, causing a disruption.
The police, led by Chief Inspector Markus Lehmann and his department, had to intervene repeatedly to ensure the orderly conduct of the events and prevent confrontations among the participants. The operation involved officers from the Nuremberg-Ost police inspection, the Central Deployment Police, the Bavarian Police, the Nuremberg Traffic Police, and the Nuremberg Criminal Police.
As the evening approached, around 90 people gathered at the Archive Park under the motto "Never silent again - Together for Germany!". Three registered counter-protests took place near the Archive Park, with up to 250 participants in total. The counter-protesters marched on an alternative route to the area of Rollnerstraße to express their opposition to the procession.
Barriers were deployed to prevent direct confrontation between the protesters and counter-protesters in the Rollnerstraße area. The police considered this an assembly and repeatedly asked the participants to move to a designated assembly area, but 16 individuals refused. As a result, these 16 individuals were forcibly removed from the roadway by the police.
Proceedings for violating the assembly law were initiated against the 16 individuals who refused to move. The police are also investigating three protesters from the sit-in blockade for suspected resistance to law enforcement.

The assembly event with the closing rally in the Archive Park ended just after 9:00 PM, marking the end of a day of political activity in Nuremberg.
