Closure of Rosis Entertainment Venue and Nachteck in Hamburg
In a surprising turn of events, the popular entertainment venue Rosis in Hamburg, known for establishing a unique northern German atmosphere in the scene quarter, has announced its closure. The burger joint in Rosis, Hellmuts, and the "Grüner Salon" with billiards, table football, and darts are also closed.
The closure of Rosis comes after the landlord failed to address fire safety issues in the Gruener Salon and Hellmuts. This unfortunate situation has also led to the closure of Nachteck, a venue that moved into Rosis in October 2023. Nachteck was previously known for hosting student parties, comedy shows, and concerts featuring acts like Lazy Boys, Paisley, or Big John Bates, in addition to its popular dance events.
Despite the closure, Nachteck plans to reopen at a different location. The company, operated by Events 2 Move GmbH from Dresden, has not revealed the exact location yet. Ilja Rautenberg serves as the managing director of Events 2 Move GmbH.
The closure of Nachteck and Rosis has been met with disappointment from the local community. The venues had become staples in the Hamburg scene, offering a lively and inclusive environment for music lovers and partygoers.
Rosis opened its doors in February 2009, previously housing Nubeatz and Flower Power. The company operating Rosis, Rockin Food & Drinks GmbH, has been in insolvency proceedings since late April and is now being liquidated since May. Christian von Canal was the managing director of Rockin Food & Drinks GmbH, also running Burgerheart at Louisen-/Alaunstraße.
There has been no official announcement about the closure of Rosis on social media channels or club websites, leaving many fans and regulars in the dark. As the situation develops, the local community hopes for the return of these beloved venues, even if it's in a new location.
