Entirety of Roitzheimer Street
The first phase of the district heating expansion on Roitzheimer Straße has been successfully completed, marking a significant step towards improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of the local district heating system.
However, motorists should be aware that the second phase of the expansion will necessitate a full closure of Roitzheimer Straße, from house number 42 to the intersection with Eifelring, from August 25 to October 31, 2025. The closure will not affect access to residential buildings located on the opposite side of the street, and access from Roitzheimer Straße 2 to 36a, via Münstereifeler Straße, will remain possible.
Unfortunately, no alternate routes have been specified for traffic navigating the closed section of Roitzheimer Straße during this period. As a result, the streets "Am Fuchspfad" and "An der Vogelrute" will become dead ends due to the closure.
It's worth noting that the district heating expansion project is not anticipated to disrupt any essential services in the affected neighborhood. The organization coordinating the execution of the expansion of the district power plant in the Roitzheim district is Rheinenergie AG.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and expect traffic flow in the Roitzheimer Straße area to be impacted for a period of two months during the second phase of the expansion.
