Epic Games Playtest of The Beacon Public Game Postponed to September 4

Beacon, the popular game, is set to undergo a significant transformation in early 2026. The developers have announced that the first official season will kick off in Q1 2026, marking the debut of online multiplayer, NFT integrations, and a seasonal format.

This shift will provide players with a fresh opportunity to engage with early multiplayer and competitive systems, as well as explore new NFT features such as Writ of Passage upgrades and pets. The new seasonal format aims to end short-term phases and introduce rolling seasons, each with new content, mechanics, and limited rewards.

To prepare for this transition, Beacon is hosting a test event on the Epic Games Store from September 4 to 7. This preliminary phase will gather player feedback and ensure stability before the full transition in early 2026.

In addition to the seasonal changes, a tournament will be held post-test, offering unique items such as the Adventurer's Backpack cosmetic and Seeker's Mantle. This tournament will be hosted in partnership with an external sponsor and will feature exciting prizes.

The introduction of online multiplayer and NFT integrations promises to bring a new level of excitement to the Beacon community. Players can look forward to a more dynamic and engaging gaming experience as they embark on the new season in Q1 2026.

Stay tuned for more updates as Beacon continues to evolve and grow.
