Neuwied, Germany - A four-part online seminar series, organised by VHS Neuwied, is set to commence in September, exploring various topics ranging from climate change to gender equality and artificial intelligence. The events, which will take place in the evening hours, are free of charge and open to all, thanks to promotional funds from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for the equal treatment of men and women.

The series will begin on Thursday, September 11, at 8 PM, with the first webinar titled "Climate change and climate policy from a gender perspective". Gotelind Alber, a speaker from the network "GenderCC - Women for Climate Justice", will delve into the connection between climate and gender, discussing how climate policy can be made more equitable.

On Wednesday, October 8, at 7 PM, Renate Welkenbach will lead the second webinar, titled "Words, Impact, Change". This session will examine the influence of language on the perception of reality and provide tips on simple linguistic means that can contribute to better understanding and good interaction.

Thursday, November 6, at 8 PM, will see Anja Katharina Bezold take the stage. Anja, the founder of her own AI platform, will focus on the first steps in the AI world, data protection, and the "AI gender gap".

The series will be concluded on Thursday, December 4, at 8 PM, with Verena Arps-Roelle's lecture titled "Setting boundaries & illuminating blind spots - For a future without sexism". Verena, the initiator of "act & protect", an organization that raises awareness about sexualized violence, will share insights on creating a future free of sexism.

Unfortunately, the name of the speaker for the VHS Neuwied lecture series on Thursday, December 1, 2020, at 8 p.m. is yet to be announced.

Interested participants are invited to register for individual dates of the series online, by email, phone, or in person. Registration information and details about the webinar series can be found at www.vhs-neuwied.de. Don't miss out on these enlightening discussions!
