In the heart of Magdeburg, Germany, a sanctuary of comfort and understanding awaits those who have experienced loss. The Grief Café, hosted by the Malteser Aid Service, offers a safe space for anyone who has lost a close person, regardless of the time since the loss.

Located at the St. Petrikirche Community House, Neustädter Straße 4, 39104 Magdeburg, the Grief Café meeting takes place every week, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

At the Grief Café, shared exchange often leads to new perspectives, as many discover that shared grief is easier to bear. The experienced grief companions, who act as points of contact, listen, provide impulses, and create a safe framework in which feelings can be expressed.

Encounters with people in similar life situations can provide support and hope. The meetings are free of charge, but registration is requested under the number +49 (0) 391 60 78 39 10.

On August 28, 2025, the Grief Café will gather once more at the St. Petrikirche Community House. While the names of the grief counselors attending are not explicitly named, the event is free and requires registration via phone.
