European Union received a boost in digital advancement with the European Commission's announcement of a fresh drive to foster Internet utilization.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2025, a group of 10 students from middle and secondary schools in Landshut embarked on an enlightening journey as part of the "Jobtour". Organised by Angela Schedlbauer from the Economic Development of the district of Landshut, this educational programme took place during the summer holidays.

The day started with a visit to Schott AG, where the students were introduced to the fascinating world of glass production. They observed the assembly and soldering of an LED cube, a process that also included 3D printing, milling, drilling, countersinking, threading, milling, stamping, and stainless steel plate work. In addition, the students learned about the coating of metallic workpieces by galvanic gold plating.

Following their visit to Schott AG, the students headed to Feistl Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology GmbH & Co. KG. Here, they gained insights into various business fields of the company after a plant tour. The students also had the opportunity to try out different materials, tools, and techniques.

The students' day continued at SPIE SAG in Ergolding, where they delved into electrical installations and soldering processes. At Ergomar in Ergolding, the students were introduced to pool and sauna technology. The tour at Ergomar included visits to various departments such as building services, reception, administration, and catering.

An exciting highlight of the day was an exercise at Ergomar, simulating the rescue of a person using the students' assistance. This hands-on experience provided a practical understanding of the skills they had learned throughout the day.

Unfortunately, the names of the training companies where 8th and 9th-grade students from Landshut participated in the "Jobtour" on September 3, 2025, and which had training facilities are not publicly available.

The "Jobtour" was more than just a visit to different companies; it was an opportunity for the students to explore potential career paths, learn new skills, and gain valuable insights into various industries. The students returned home with a wealth of knowledge and a newfound enthusiasm for their future careers.
