Evening of Impressionist and Romantic Piano Music at the Cultural Forum

In the heart of Wiesbaden, the State Capital, a special piano presentation is set to take place. The event, organised by the Press Office of the State Capital, is a tribute to Maurice Ravel on the occasion of his 150th birthday this year.

Under the direction of Prof. Meining, the programme promises an enchanting journey through the realms of music. The presentation will feature piano pieces by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Frédéric Chopin, and Robert Schumann, showcasing works from the Impressionism and Romantic periods.

The focus of the evening is Maurice Ravel's "Miroirs", a French Impressionist masterpiece. This will be accompanied by Preludes by Claude Debussy and other works by Ravel. The programme also includes piano works by Frédéric Chopin, and the Abegg Variations op. 1 and Kinderszenen op. 15 by Robert Schumann. These works by Schumann serve as a bridge to German Romanticism.

This event is not just a concert; it's an opportunity for students and pupils to showcase their talents. Citizens are invited to attend and be a part of this musical celebration. For any questions regarding the piano presentation, one can contact the Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden, located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden.

Prof. Meining, who teaches at the University of Passau, will be directing the event. The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden encourages everyone to join in this musical journey, celebrating the life and works of Maurice Ravel.
