The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 is set to take place in Morocco at the end of 2025, and several Premier League clubs are preparing for potential player departures.

One of the teams that will be represented in the tournament is Burnley, with Axel Tuanzebe from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Manuel Benson from Angola, Lyle Foster from South Africa, and Hannibal Mejbri from Tunisia. However, Everton forward Beto will not be participating as Guinea-Bissau did not qualify.

Tottenham's Mohammed Kudus will be available for Spurs, as Gambia did not qualify. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest could be without four players each during AFCON 2025 as they aim for European football and Premier League success. Crystal Palace has Ismaila Sarr from Senegal, Christantus Uche from Nigeria, Cheick Doucoure from Mali, and Chadi Riad from Morocco.

Newly-promoted Sunderland could be missing as many as nine players for AFCON 2025. Brighton will be able to call on Yankuba Minteh as Gambia failed to make it. Brighton has Carlos Baleba from Cameroon for AFCON 2025.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Leeds United do not have any African players in their first-team squad for AFCON 2025. Aston Villa has Evann Guessand representing Ivory Coast in AFCON 2025. Brentford has Dango Ouattara from Burkina Faso and Frank Onyeka from Nigeria for AFCON 2025.

Everton has Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye from Senegal for AFCON 2025. Wolves may be missing five of their squad members for AFCON 2025, potentially impacting their relegation battle. Manchester City's January arrival Omar Marmoush and summer signing Rayan Ait-Nouri may not be available for AFCON 2025.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah will participate in AFCON 2025 with Egypt. Ghana did not qualify for AFCON 2025, so Bournemouth will not be missing Antoine Semenyo.

The clubs most likely to be affected by player departures for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 would be those with a significant number of players participating in the tournament. However, specific clubs cannot be identified without knowing the exact squads for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
