Arnsberg Successfully Hosts Second and Third Stages of Lidl Germany Tour

The town of Arnsberg was buzzing with excitement last week as it played host to the second and third stages of Germany's most significant cycling race, the Lidl Germany Tour. Thousands of spectators lined the route and filled the Neheim city center, creating an electric atmosphere with loud cheers encouraging the riders.

Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner expressed his delight that Arnsberg could be part of the Germany Tour and thanked volunteers for their enthusiasm and joy. The event's implementation was made possible with the generous support of the State Chancellery NRW, Westlotto, and various sponsors, including WEPA, Sparkasse Mitten im Sauerland, A.L.S. Spedition, Grüne Energie, Volksbank Sauerland, Veltins, and Quadflieg.

The Lidl Germany Tour in Arnsberg was supported by LichtBlick as a partner, sponsoring the White Jersey. The City of Arnsberg itself took a leading organizational role, celebrating the event as a special highlight during their 50th anniversary. There were no other specific companies named as special supporters or recipients of particular honors in Arnsberg in the available information.

Tatjana Schefers, city marketing manager, confirmed the event's incredible atmosphere and thanked her engaged team for organizing it. Around 15,000 people gathered on the market square alone on Friday. In addition to the race, the Expo on the market square, 'kinder joy of moving' activities, and a beer garden on Goethestraße were popular attractions.

Christopher Hilverling, the city's first deputy mayor, confirmed that the event days were successful without major incidents. Temporary street closures and no-parking zones were necessary to ensure a safe race.

Mayor Bittner, in his address, thanked the town of Arnsberg for its warm welcome and hospitality, promising that the memories of the Lidl Germany Tour in Arnsberg would last a lifetime. The town of Arnsberg was delighted to have been part of this prestigious event and looks forward to hosting more such events in the future.
