Execution of Arrest Warrants with Heavy Penalties in BPOLI PW - GdpD POM Case

In a series of events, the Federal Police Directorate Bad Bramstedt, a key authority responsible for Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and the North and Baltic Sea, has recently made two significant arrests.

A 27-year-old German and a 39-year-old Ukrainian were apprehended at the same location. The German was found on a FlixBus, while the Ukrainian was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office Offenburg for resisting enforcement officers.

The German was found to have three arrest warrants against him. The first warrant was for insult, with a fine of 1,800.00 EUR and procedural costs of 81.00 EUR. The second warrant was for bodily injury, with a fine of 3,300.00 EUR and an alternative sentence of 55 days in prison. The third warrant was for endangering road traffic, with a fine of 1,600.00 EUR and procedural costs of 312.64 EUR. As the individual was unable to pay the fines, they were taken to Neustrelitz Prison.

The Ukrainian, on the other hand, must spend the next 120 days in Neustrelitz Prison due to a fine of 6,000.00 EUR and procedural costs of 244.62 EUR.

The Federal Police Directorate Bad Bramstedt is a versatile organisation, performing a wide range of tasks. These include border police protection, railway police tasks, and border police, maritime police, and environmental police tasks in the North and Baltic Sea. The directorate also has a maritime component called "Federal Police Sea" to monitor the sea border in the North and Baltic Sea (Schengen external border).

The Bundespolizei Inspection Pasewalk with Joint German-Polish Station Pomellen, one of the operational units under the command of the Federal Police Directorate Bad Bramstedt, was involved in these arrests. Located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, this inspection is also responsible for coordinating maritime security tasks involving the Federal Police and coastal states' forces, particularly through structures like the Joint Situation Center Sea (GLZ-See) of the Maritime Security Center in Cuxhaven.
