Expanded budget allotted for climate advisory services
Baden-Württemberg, Germany, is taking a significant step forward in addressing climate change by offering a co-financed climate consultation. This consultation, focused on Climate Protection and Climate Change Adaptation, is designed to create a climate balance and develop sustainable strategies for businesses in the agricultural sector.
The consultation includes recording a business's initial situation, developing business-specific measures for Climate Protection, and accompanying and evaluating these measures. It also focuses on short-, medium-, and long-term adaptation options for animal and plant production in response to Climate Change.
Soil conservation and sustainable carbon sequestration play a central role in this consultation, ensuring the long-term health of the land and the environment. Adaptation strategies for possible extreme weather events can also be developed, preparing businesses for the challenges that climate change may bring.
