Expanded Fleet: OK Mobility Integrates 5,000 New Liux Geko Units into Its Mobility Offerings

In a significant move towards sustainable urban mobility, Chinese firms have invested in the electric vehicle (EV) brand Liux, with production of the Geko model set to begin in the second half of 2025. The announcement was made during a presentation at OK Mobility's headquarters in Palma de Mallorca, coinciding with the International Mobility Portal Summit.

The Liux Geko, a small and compact two-seater, was unveiled as a prototype, marking a commitment to a new way of understanding urban mobility, according to Liux CEO, Antonio Espinosa. The vehicle, designed and manufactured in Spain using sustainable materials, boasts an energy efficiency of over 13 km/kWh and a base range of 170 km, extendable up to 230 km on a single charge.

OK Group, the main investor in Liux, has committed to acquiring 5,000 units of the Liux Geko over the next three years. The CEO of OK Group, Othman Ktiri, views this agreement as creating synergies to tackle new technological and sustainability challenges in mobility. He also considers Liux, a 'Made in Spain' startup, to be a perfect partner due to its focus on entrepreneurship, mobility, and sustainability.

In a strategic move, OK Group will offer the Liux Geko units as rental vehicles through its global mobility platform, OK Mobility. This investment marks the first time OK Group has made such a commitment with a vehicle manufacturer, signifying a strong belief in Liux's potential to redefine 21st-century urban mobility.

The agreement between Liux and OK Group is expected to provide a significant boost for the production of the Liux Geko, which is set to begin in the second half of 2025 in Spain. With this investment, Liux and OK Group are taking bold steps towards a more sustainable and innovative future in the mobility sector.
