Expanded Outlet Retailer Unveils New Franken Location

A new branch of Tedi, a leading non-food retailer, is set to open in Hassfurt, Germany on September 17, 2025. The store will be located at Robert-Bosch-Straße 1 and will offer a wide range of household, stationery, craft, decorative, party, gift items, and more, spanning over 600 square meters.

Tedi, founded in Germany in 2004, has grown significantly since its inception. The company now operates more than 3500 stores in 15 European countries, making it one of the largest non-food discounters in Europe. The new Hassfurt branch will be the second in the city, following the success of the first store.

In celebration of the opening, the first 1000 customers will receive an additional surprise with their purchase. Furthermore, around 5000 items will be permanently available for 1 euro or less. Special opening offers, including T-shirts, fleece blankets, and copy paper, will also be available.

The rapid expansion of Tedi reached a record high with over 400 new openings in the 2024/2025 financial year. This growth has been accompanied by impressive financial results, with Tedi achieving a record turnover of over 3 billion euros in the same period.

The new Tedi branch in Hassfurt is part of the company's ambitious expansion plan, which aims to reach approximately 5000 branches by 2029. This expansion includes locations previously occupied by the former trading company Pfennigpfeiffer in Bavaria and East Germany.

Unfortunately, the opening of the new Tedi branch comes at a time when the city market in Hassfurt, a local supplier, is facing closure. The last day of sales for the city market will be October 17, 2025.

The new Tedi branch in Hassfurt will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 8 pm. With its wide range of products and special offers, it is set to become a popular destination for shoppers in the area.
