Expanded presence in France: widely recognized discount store inaugurates new outlet

In an exciting development for the city of Haßfurt, a new Tedi branch will open its doors on September 17, 2025. Located at Robert-Bosch-Straße 1, the store will commence operations at 8 a.m., and will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays.

This marks the second Tedi branch in Haßfurt, joining the existing store at Hauptstraße 10. Tedi, a well-known German retailer founded in 2004, has seen significant growth over the years, with over 3,500 stores across 15 European countries. In the 2024/2025 financial year, Tedi achieved a record turnover of over 3 billion euros, solidifying its position as one of the largest non-food discounters in Europe.

The new branch in Haßfurt will cover a sales area of more than 600 square meters and offer a wide range of household, stationery, craft, decoration, party, gift, and other items. In a special move, the first 1,000 customers at the new branch will receive an additional surprise with their purchase.

Moreover, approximately 5,000 items will be permanently available for 1 euro or less, while special offers such as T-shirts, fleece blankets, and copy paper will be available for the opening.

Unfortunately, the city market in Haßfurt, a local supplier, is currently facing closure with the last day of sales scheduled for October 17, 2025. This development comes as Tedi continues its expansion, with plans to expand its branch network to around 5,000 branches by 2029.

Tedi recently took over locations of the former trading company Pfennigpfeiffer in Bavaria and East Germany, and the Haßfurt branch is part of this growth strategy. The current CEO of the TEDi Group is Petar Burazin, with Markus Möschter as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), Darius Kauthe as CFO, and Dietrich Heumann as COO. Information about the founder is not provided in the search results.

This new Tedi branch in Franconia is set to bring a fresh shopping experience to the city, offering a wide variety of products at competitive prices. Mark your calendars for September 17, 2025, and get ready to explore the new Tedi branch at Robert-Bosch-Straße 1.
