Expanded workforce at Bonn Police: 109 additional officers for the Federal City

In a warm welcome ceremony held at the Bonn Police Presidency headquarters on September 1, 2025, Klaus Zimmermann, Deputy Police President and Senior Criminal Director, welcomed 109 new employees, including 88 police commissioners and one administrative employee.

The new police officers were transferred from various police authorities across North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), and 88 of them recently completed their studies at the University of Applied Sciences. The Hamburg Police Department also admitted 160 new police cadets for their dual study program, with training set to begin in October 2025.

Klaus Zimmermann expressed his pleasure at the new recruits joining the Bonn Police Presidency, stating that they would bring fresh perspectives and valuable skills to the force. The new police officers were chosen voluntarily by the Bonn Police Presidency.
