Expanding the roster for the upcoming 2024-25 Holy Cross Men's Basketball season, the team bolsters its depth.

The Holy Cross basketball teams have embarked on a new journey, starting the 2024-25 regular season with a fresh mix of transfers and first-year players. The men's team, in its second year under head coach Dave Paulsen, aims to build on a 10-win season and a Patriot League quarter final berth from the previous year.

On the men's side, two graduating players left big shoes to fill, but the team has brought in reinforcements. Chuck Hare, a 6-10 center from Shelton, CT, is the tallest player on the roster, hailing from Kingswood Oxford Prep School. Another fresh face is Tyler Boston, a 5-10 guard from Severn, MD, who led his team to two straight conference championships and made the All-Conference team.

Max Green, a 6-6 combo guard from La Grange, KY, and Aidan Richard, a 6-6 forward from San Antonio, TX, are also new additions. Green led the entire state of Kentucky in scoring his senior year, while Richard was named District 28 MVP in back-to-back seasons and is a 3-star recruit.

The men's team had a slow start in the 2023-24 campaign but is looking to turn things around. Two transfers, Gabe Warren from Rice University and Jaiden Feroah from Green River College, have joined the team to add depth and experience. Warren, a 4-star recruit, logged just 6 minutes per game in his freshman season, while Feroah averaged 13 points and 10 boards in his first year and 18 points in his second year.

Meanwhile, the women's basketball team finished the regular season with a record of 18-11 and 11-7 in the Patriot League. They have made it to the semi-finals of the Patriot League conference tournament.

Both the men's and women's teams started their respective regular seasons last week, with the men hosting a doubleheader at the Hart Center as part of the 10th annual "Power of Purple" Giving Day.

Staff writer Brendan Grudberg '28 has been covering these developments for the university's sports section. The Holy Cross basketball teams are investing in their future while also preparing for a successful 2024-25 campaign.
