Expansion of Project "Kamchatka Fish" now includes provision of social goods in Kamchatka region

In a significant development, the Kamchatka Fish project has expanded its offerings to include subsidised bread products for eligible residents in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka Krai. The initiative, which initially focused on supporting the fisheries industry, has now broadened its scope to include social goods like bread.

The reduced-price bread products are available in Petropavlovsk's "Hlebushka" stores, owned by the bakery. The Kamchatka regional government provides subsidies to cover up to 10% of the cost of these bread products sold at social prices. This subsidy extends not only to transportation costs for flour delivery, but also includes comprehensive subsidizing of one kilogram of bread production.

The social product range in the project includes two types of bread: white wheat bread for 22 rubles and "Darnitsky" bread for 23 rubles. These prices are even lower than the existing social prices, offering a significant discount to eligible residents.

The expansion of the Kamchatka Fish project now includes WWII veterans, home front workers, disabled individuals, large families, and other needy groups. The Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Processing Industry of Kamchatka Krai, Vyaçheslav Chernysh, confirmed these developments.

It's important to note that the eligibility criteria for the reduced-price bread products have not been specified beyond the existing categories mentioned earlier. However, Kamchatka residents in these categories can now purchase bread at these subsidised prices through the Kamchatka Fish project.

The bakery in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka Krai, has joined the Kamchatka Fish project, with enterprises producing bread and bakery products in Kamchatka Krai also benefiting from these subsidies. The current coordination of the bread production subsidy process in Kamchatka is managed by the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

While the Kamchatka Fish project has expanded to include bread, it's important to note that the subsidies do not extend to non-bread products within the project at this time. The project continues to support the fisheries industry, providing additional discounts for eligible citizens on fish products, as part of the "Kamchatka Fish" program.

This move to include bread in the Kamchatka Fish project is a welcome development, offering relief to eligible residents in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka Krai, and potentially across Kamchatka Krai. It's a testament to the project's commitment to supporting its community and ensuring affordable access to essential goods.
