Expected IBPS SO Qualifying Scores for Prelims in 2025, dispersed by categories
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the cut-off marks for the Specialist Officers (SO) Prelims exam held on August 30, 2025. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate, and the cut-off marks vary across categories and posts.
For the HR/Personnel Officer post, the expected cut-off marks for the Unreserved (UR) category are between 47 and 52, while for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category, the cut-off is expected to be between 30 and 35.
There are a total of 1007 vacancies for the Specialist Officer posts, and the cut-off marks are announced separately for each state and category.
The cut-off marks for the Agricultural Field Officer category are as follows: UR - 34 to 39, OBC - 31 to 36, SC - 40 to 45, and ST - 44 to 48.
For the I.T. Officer category, the expected cut-off marks for UR are between 23 and 28. The cut-off marks for the Rajbhasha Adhikari post are yet to be announced.
The Law Officer category cut-off marks are as follows: UR - 56 to 61, OBC - 54 to 59, SC - 53 to 58, ST - 50 to 55.
The Marketing Officer post is expected to have the highest cut-off marks, with the EWS/General category having the highest expected sectional cut-offs. The expected sectional cut-offs for English Language are 8.75, Reasoning - 9.00, and General Awareness - 11.00. The expected cut-off marks for the Marketing Officer post are between 45 and 50 for the UR and EWS categories, 45 to 50 for OBC, 20 to 25 for SC, and 20 to 25 for ST.
The IBPS SO Prelims exam was held in two shifts, and the Prelims cut-off will be released in September/October 2025. Candidates are advised to keep checking the IBPS website for the latest updates on the cut-off marks.
