In the picturesque town of Miltenberg, a new city exploration path, dubbed the "Entdeckertour," has been brought to life. This innovative project, supported by the ILE Odenwald-Allianz, the Office for Rural Development (Amt für Ländliche Entwicklung) Unterfranken, and local authorities, is coordinated by the city administration. The trail, which officially opened last week as part of the anniversary year under the heading "1250 years of Rittahe," offers historical backgrounds, exciting activities, puzzles, and play and crafting opportunities at 17 different stations.

The trail commences at various points, including the old village smithy with the cuckoo egg in Altenritte, the Heilandskirche, Hessenklause, and the village school, as well as the aforementioned Hühnstein in Großenritte. It also leads into the beautiful nature at the Waldstation at the foot of the Baunsberg.

The team behind this project includes the Augustine playmobile, Achim Kase from the Waldstation, and the AWO family education centre. The trail has been warmly welcomed by city council chairman Reiner Heine, Nicole Mumberg from the anniversary community Rittahe, mayor Henry Richter, and first deputy mayor Daniel Jung, who congratulated all those involved and thanked them for their great commitment.

The jubilee festival at the AWO family education centre in Großenritte was eagerly awaited by the children of Kita Altenritte, who also took part in various activities organized by the support association of Kita Altenritte and its cooperation partners. Highlights included a sand kitchen, craft station, cotton candy, waffles, and a cake buffet.

The festival's diverse programme was further supported by businesses and entrepreneurs from Altenritte. The afternoon's highlight was the boat race on the Bauna, which was dammed up by the city's fire department. The children of Kita Altenritte even expressed a wish for a new climbing frame during the festivities.

Mayor Bernd Kahlert expressed strong support for these projects, as exemplified by the initiatives like the digital Stadtrallye and the "Escape-Walk" adventure. The discovery trail, designed for people of all ages, including seniors, children, and young people, will continue until 25 May with a closing festival under the motto "From Grandma's Times" at the AWO family education centre in Großenritte.

Participants can use the camera function of their phone to scan a QR code, follow a link, and use the path as an image on their smartphone, making it an interactive and modern way to explore the city's rich history.
