Exploring the Waters of Gretlmill

The much-anticipated Gretlmill kiosk is set to open on May 14th, operating from Wednesday to Sunday, 9 am to 8 pm. Here's a rundown of the rules, facilities, and activities at the Gretlmill recreational area to ensure a pleasant visit for all.

Safety and Hygiene Measures

For the safety and comfort of all visitors, designated non-smoking zones are present at the beach and on the marked areas of the lawn. This includes a ban on cigarettes, e-cigarettes, shisha pipes, and cannabis. Cigarette butts should be disposed of properly in ashtrays found on waste bins.

To maintain hygiene, bringing dogs and other animals is prohibited to prevent contamination from dog feces and to prevent danger or disturbance to other visitors.

Designated Areas

The recreational area features a cordoned-off bay with ropes for non-swimmers. A temporary parking lot is available during high visitor traffic shortly after exiting the LA 14, and parking of vehicles on the street is prohibited to avoid obstructing emergency vehicles.

Activities

Swimming activities like boating, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, jumping into the lake, and diving are not allowed at the Gretlmill recreational area. A cordon in the northern and northeastern part of the lake marks an ecological zone and is off-limits, even from the water.

Facilities

The large car park is subject to a fee of two euros, and the machines do not give change. New lockers will be available from mid-May, and they can be used with one or two Euro coins as a deposit. Toilets are available daily during swimming weather.

Rules for the Grill Area

The grill area is available until 8 pm, and only grills with a maximum size of 50 cm by 50 cm or a diameter of 60 cm can be used. Music is prohibited at the grill area, as is any other disturbing noise.

Contact Information

For queries or information, the operators of the kiosk at the Gretlmill can be reached by email at [email protected].

The Gretlmill recreational area will be open daily from 9 am to 9 pm from May 1st to September. Nudism is not allowed on the entire grounds of the Gretlmill recreational area.

Enjoy your visit to the Gretlmill recreational area and remember to respect the rules for a safe and pleasant experience for all!
