Swiss technology company ABB has made a significant move in the e-mobility market, entering it back in 2010. Now, they have launched an innovative solution for electric vehicle (EV) charging - the Terra 360.
The Terra 360 is a comprehensive EV charger, offering a range of features designed with the daily needs and expectations of EV drivers in mind. It boasts a maximum output of 360 kW, making it one of the fastest charging solutions on the market. In as little as 15 minutes or less, Terra 360 can fully charge any electric car.
Terra 360 stands out for its flexibility. It can be installed on commercial premises for electric fleet vehicles and is suitable for small depots or parking lots due to its small footprint. The charger also offers flexibility for overnight charging or quick refills during the day.
An innovative lighting system guides users through the charging process, ensuring a seamless experience. Terra 360 is also wheelchair accessible, further emphasising its commitment to inclusivity.
One unique feature of Terra 360 is the integrated 27" advertisement screen, available for video and picture display. This feature can be customised, with options for foiling and LED light strip colour changes.
ABB has been a leader in the EV charging market, selling over 460,000 electric vehicle chargers across more than 88 markets. They have sold over 21,000 DC fast chargers and 440,000 AC chargers, including those sold through Chargedot. ABB's high-power chargers are being deployed worldwide through partnerships with operators like IONITY and Electrify America.
While the exact launch date of Terra 360 in Germany and the countries following in 2022 is yet to be confirmed, the charger is set to be available in Europe by the end of 2021 and in the USA, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions in 2022.
