Fatal Accident in Hildesheim: Victim succumbs to illness in hospital following crash
In the heart of Hildesheim, a tragic incident unfolded on the morning of August 26, 2024, at the intersection of Kaiserstraße and Kennedydamm. A three-vehicle rear-end collision took place, resulting in the death of a 74-year-old man from the Hildesheim district.
The accident took place in one of the two left-turn lanes heading towards Drispenstedt. The 74-year-old Seat driver, who reportedly had a medical incident before the collision, failed to brake and collided into the VW without warning. The 29-year-old Skoda driver, who had stopped at the red light, was unable to avoid the collision.
Emergency services arrived at the scene promptly and the unconscious driver was taken to a Hildesheim hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the driver later passed away. The identity of the driver has not been disclosed at this time.
