SV Elversberg Secures Exciting Signing of Lasse Günther from FC Augsburg

SV Elversberg has announced the signing of Lasse Günther, a 22-year-old left-back, on a three-year contract that will run until the summer of 2028. The young defender, who hails from Munich, is eager to contribute to Elversberg's recent success and excite the club's fans.

Günther began his youth career with SpVgg Unterhaching and FC Augsburg but spent most of his formative years at FC Bayern Munich. He made his debut in the UEFA Youth League at the age of 16 while at Bayern. Günther's promising talent was evident, and he gained his first professional experience with appearances for Bayern's second team in the 3. Liga.

In 2021, Günther returned to FC Augsburg. During his time there, he made a total of 7 appearances in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. He was also loaned out to three different Zweitligists, including Karlsruhe SC, SSV Jahn Regensburg, and Wehen Wiesbaden.

To date, Günther has made a total of 58 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga. His most recent loan spell was with Karlsruhe SC during the previous season.
