FC Porto and Sporting de Braga's Europa League itinerary

FC Porto will embark upon their group stage debut in the Europa League at the home of Salzburg on September 25. The day prior, Sporting Braga will host Feyenoord, as confirmed by UEFA today.

In the exciting world of European football, the calendar for the 2026 UEFA Champions League has been unveiled, revealing the upcoming matches for Portuguese powerhouses FC Porto and Sporting Braga.

First on the agenda for Porto is a visit to the Czech side Viktoria Plzeň on January 22nd, 2026. Following this, Porto will host Scottish side Rangers, with the exact date yet to be confirmed. A week after their encounter with Viktoria Plzeň, Porto will welcome Swedish team Malmö to their home on December 11th. The Portuguese squad, led by coach Nuno Espírito Santo, will also face the Netherlands' Utrecht on November 6th and travel to Nottingham Forest on October 23rd.

Meanwhile, Sporting Braga's journey in the 2026 UEFA Champions League begins at home against Red Star Belgrade on October 23rd. They will then host Nottingham Forest on the same date as Porto's visit to the English club, January 22nd, 2026. Sporting Braga will also face Dutch side Feyenoord on September 24th and travel to Nice on December 11th. The Portuguese team will host Belgian side Genk on November 6th and visit Scotland to face Celtic on October 2nd.

However, the specific home stadium for Sporting Braga in the 2026 UEFA Champions League and their opponents for the home matches have not been determined yet. The draw and match schedule will be finalized closer to the competition dates, typically after the qualifying rounds and official draws which are planned or take place in mid to late 2025. After their home games, Sporting Braga will visit Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles in an undated match in 2026.

The top eight teams from the league phase of the competition will qualify for the round of 16. Teams ranked ninth to 24th will play in the playoffs. As the competition heats up, fans of both Porto and Sporting Braga can look forward to an action-packed season in Europe's premier club football tournament.
