In a series of incidents, the German Federal Police have apprehended several foreign nationals for violating various laws within the federal territory.

On Sunday evening, a 35-year-old Romanian entered the country, travelling as a passenger in a car registered in Italy. The individual was able to pay the required amount to avoid the enforcement of a prison sentence at the Federal Police in Sankt Augustin. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Bochum had been seeking him with an arrest warrant for driving without a license.

On August 29, 2025, a 36-year-old Pakistani was stopped by the Federal Police on the A3 motorway at the Knauheide rest area. The Pakistani was a passenger on an international long-distance bus from Amsterdam to Frankfurt. He was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Frankfurt am Main for violations of the Residence Act. The Pakistani was required to pay a fine of 650 euros or serve a 65-day prison sentence, but since he could not pay the demanded amount, he was handed over to the Kleve Local Court's magistrate's office after completion of police measures.

On August 31, 2025, a 31-year-old Algerian entered the federal territory from the Netherlands via the A3 motorway. The Algerian could only present an expired Portuguese residence permit for inspection. During a search of his vehicle, various cannabis products were found and secured. As a result, the Algerian was arrested on the spot and taken to the Federal Police Inspectorate in Kleve for further processing. After completion of the police measures, the Algerian was handed over to the prison in Kleve to begin serving a seven-month prison sentence, and he still had to pay a fine of 1200 euros or serve a 40-day prison sentence.

The Federal Police Directorate is located in Sankt Augustin, and the Federal Police Inspectorate is situated in Kleve. For more information, please refer to the contact details provided for both institutions.

It is worth noting that the search results do not provide information about the name of the director of the Bundespolizeidirektion Sankt Augustin in 2025. The Algerian was wanted for arrest by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Giessen for a violation of the Narcotics Act and for location determination due to resistance against enforcement officers.

These incidents highlight the vigilance and dedication of the German Federal Police in maintaining law and order within the country's borders.
