Federal authorities carry out arrests at the Reitzenhain border crossing, as per multiple warrants issued by the BPOLI C.
In a series of events on August 15, 2025, the Federal Police Inspectorate Chemnitz carried out several arrests at the border crossing in Reitzenhain.
At 08:45 AM, a Bulgarian was checked by the officers. An open arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Regensburg was outstanding against him for fraud. Despite the warrant, his journey was allowed to continue after his brother-in-law paid a fine of over 1,400.00 EUR.
At 10:00 AM, a 24-year-old Romanian was checked at the same border crossing. An arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Weiden was outstanding against him for an offense against the Weapons Act. However, a friend in Kiel paid the required fine of 600.00 EUR, allowing him to continue his journey.
Later in the day, at 03:50 PM, a Polish citizen was stopped by the Federal Police Inspectorate Chemnitz at a border crossing. An arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Bielefeld was found for burglary against the 27-year-old man. He was taken to the Justice Prison in Dresden, where he has a prison sentence of one year and four months to serve.
On August 17, 2025, at 08:45 AM, another Romanian presented himself for entry control to the officers of the Federal Police Inspectorate Chemnitz. An open arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Hof was outstanding against the man for an offense against the Weapons Act. The details regarding the resolution of this case are not available.
The ages of the individuals involved are 31, 27, and 36. The locations involved in the incidents are Reitzenhain, Marienberg, Erfurt, Bielefeld, Dresden, and Augsburg.
