Federal authorities in NRW subdue aggressive female suspect

In an unusual incident at Bochum Central Station on September 1, a 20-year-old German woman resisted arrest and assaulted federal police officers.

The woman boarded the RE 6 train from Dortmund Central Station to Bochum Central Station without a valid ticket. Upon arrival at the station, officers approached her and requested that she leave the train. However, the woman refused to comply, offering significant resistance and insulting the officers.

During the ensuing struggle, officers found a switchblade and a small amount of ecstasy in the woman's pocket. Despite officers warning her that they would use physical force if necessary, the woman continued to resist. As a result, an ambulance was called for the woman during processing at the custody cell.

The woman later stated that she wanted to seek psychiatric treatment after being apprehended. Following police procedures, she was taken to a psychiatric hospital.

The woman will face charges for assaulting, resisting, and insulting law enforcement officers. In addition, she will be charged with fraudulently obtaining services and violating weapons and narcotics laws.
