Federal Police in North Rhine-Westphalia (BPOL NRW) have busted two human smuggling operations. Fake documents were used by some of the arriving individuals, leading to subsequent deportation actions.

In recent days, the Bundespolice in Aachen have been busy with several incidents involving individuals attempting to illegally enter Germany. Here's a summary of the events as reported by the Bundespolizeidirektion Sankt Augustin.

On Monday afternoon, two Georgian companions were returned to Belgium as they could not produce any identification papers. Meanwhile, a Nigerian presented a forged Latvian ID card to the officers. He was taken to the station for suspected illegal entry and document fraud and returned to Belgium after posting a €250 security bond. Another Nigerian with an expired residence permit was detected on the same day. A forged Maltese residence permit was found on him.

The driver of a Georgian vehicle was also wanted for entry refusal to Germany and the Netherlands. He will be deported to his home country after being reported for traffic offenses, violations of the Weapons Act and Cannabis Act, and smuggling.

On Tuesday morning, three Georgians were provisionally arrested for entering Germany without valid identification, smuggling marijuana, and carrying an illegal switchblade.

Furthermore, four Albanians were detected on Monday afternoon for overstaying their permitted time in the Schengen area on the B-56 (Cologne district).

The authority responsible for carrying out border controls in Aachen is the Bundespolizei (Federal Police). Information about their activities can be obtained through the Bundespolizei's official website or by contacting their press office, such as the Bundespolizeidirektion Sankt Augustin or Bundespolizeiinspektion Dortmund. The press inquiries can be directed to Mr. Bernd Küppers, the contact person for the press inquiries.

It's worth noting that two individuals, a Syrian and a Turkish national, could be returned to Belgium as their asylum certificates only have national effect.
