Federal Police Make Four Arrests at Düsseldorf Airport, NRW on a Wednesday

On 3rd September 2025, the Federal Police made three significant arrests at Düsseldorf Airport. The individuals in question, a 26-year-old Polish man, a 39-year-old Spanish man, and a 47-year-old Georgian woman, were wanted by different authorities for various offenses.

The Polish man, who resides in Poland, was arrested by the Federal Police on a warrant issued by the Regional Court of Bamberg. He was sentenced to a youth detention sentence of four years and eight months in June 2021 for illegal import of narcotics. After the arrest, he was handed over to the judicial authorities. A remaining sentence of 62 days is left for him to serve.

The Spanish man, a resident of Düsseldorf, was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Düsseldorf for fraud since August 2025. He was convicted in August 2024 but did not comply with the served penalty notice, resulting in a warrant being issued. He was able to pay a fine of 1,800 euros and thus avoid a substitute custodial sentence of 18 days.

The Georgian woman, also a resident of Düsseldorf, was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Görlitz. She was convicted in May 2023 for obtaining residence titles by deception. She was able to pay a fine of 1,500 euros and thus avoid a substitute custodial sentence of 50 days.

A 48-year-old Georgian man was also controlled by Federal Police officers on the same day, arriving from Istanbul, Turkey. However, there is no publicly available information about any charges against him.
