Female newcomer advances to the fourth round in Aperitivo tournament

The city of Hamburg is set to provide a significant boost to startups, with a particular focus on female founders. The fourth round of the Female Start Aperitivo pitch competition is scheduled to take place on May 15, 2024, at the rehearsal room Oberhafen, as part of a series of events organised by Female Start and startupcity.hamburg.
This competition, which is entering its fourth year, is backed by the Hamburg Authority for Economics and Innovation, the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB Hamburg), and the IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH. The event aims to increase the number of women in science and research, and to provide a platform for female founders to present their ideas to a jury, investors, and a large audience.
The Female Start Aperitivo 2024 is not limited to Hamburg, as other semifinals will also take place in cities such as Heidelberg, Lübeck, Rostock, Munich, Dresden, Hannover, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Berlin. The goal of the pitch contest is to increase networking opportunities for female founders and make it easier for their startups to get started through diverse prizes.
Startups with at least one woman in the founding team or management are encouraged to participate. The competition also aligns with the Senate's aim to strengthen female founders, and the Gateway49-Accelerator, a startup boost program, is another initiative that supports this goal.
The finale of the Female Start Aperitivo 2024 will take place on June 6, 2024, at the music club Knust on St. Pauli. This event promises to be an exciting occasion for the startup community in Hamburg, providing a unique opportunity to celebrate and support female entrepreneurs.
