Unna City Festival Marred by Multiple Incidents of Bodily Harm

The Unna city festival, which took place from 5th to 6th September 2025, was marked by a series of unfortunate incidents.

On Saturday evening around 7:10 PM, a dangerous bodily harm incident occurred on Burgstraße involving a 15-year-old Croatian from Unna and a 14-year-old French girl from Unna. The French girl was allegedly given an unknown substance into a vape by the Croatian, resulting in her admission to a hospital.

Early Saturday morning, a 22-year-old Afghan from Hamm was verbally and physically attacked and injured by a group of people on Bahnhofstraße.

A scuffle between a 17-year-old German from Unna and a 58-year-old German from Kamen resulted in minor injuries to the 17-year-old early Saturday morning around 12:25 AM at the market.

On Sunday morning around 1:40 AM, an unknown woman and man struck two victims, a 38-year-old German-Russian from Boone and an unknown man, on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße, causing minor injuries. No details are available about the second victim.

Four reports of bodily harm were filed during the city festival. One arrest was made during the festival, but there is no information available about an organization expelling a 38-year-old Serb and Montenegrin who was arrested. The individual was arrested for illegal stay and was later released on order of the aliens' office.

There were also incidents of insult reports and an insult of police officers after a person check. Two traffic offense reports were made: one for drunk driving with suspicion of theft of an e-scooter and a motorized skateboard, and no liability insurance for the skateboard could be proven.

Despite these incidents, the event overall went smoothly and was well-attended.
