Film Festival Cologne will take place in Hamburg starting from 2026

Starting next year, the Director's Chair at Filmfest Hamburg will be filled, as the event expands to include the European Work in Progress and the International Film Distribution Summit, transforming it into the "Industry Days." This move is expected to attract over 1,000 visitors annually, making it a central meeting point for cinema, film distribution, technology, agencies, service providers, marketing, and visions.
The new venue for the merged event will be the area around the Cinemaxx at Dammtor and the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH), providing ideal conditions for this forward-thinking industry gathering.
