The 2025 Grosvenor Goliath Poker Tournament, held at the Grosvenor Casino, Coventry Building Society Arena, has set a new record with an astonishing 12,961 entries, making it the largest live poker tournament ever held outside Las Vegas. This impressive turnout generated a prize pool of £1,970,070, with the first prize of £316,640 going to the champion, Paul Worsley.

The Goliath main event has been attracting thousands of players annually since 2022, with consistent growth. This year's tournament saw 16,525,000 chips in the hands of Ben Parkin, who played with a broken arm in a cast, finishing in second place. Gilbert Black, the 2024 runner-up, started the day with the early chip lead, but it was Paul Worsley who emerged victorious.

Other events like the Redtooth Open also ran during the Goliath festival, with separate buy-ins and structures. In the Redtooth Malta 52 event, Timothy Bohane, Andy Clarke, David Clarkson, Alicia Irish, John Todd, and Robin Yeung won their way to Malta, while Peter Hedges just missed out on a package but received £1,400 for 10th place.

The £300 Main Event Travel Open, another side event, saw 110 players book their way into Day 2. Owen Fee bagged the largest stack of 464,000 from the third starting day, with Day 2 set to start later in the afternoon after one more starting flight on Sunday morning.

The Giant, a £225 side event, attracted a field of 407 players and generated a prize pool of £75,330. A four-way deal was made in The Giant, with Abdul Karim taking the most (£11,864), Christopher Louch (£10,566), Georgian Georgescu (£11,088), and Mitchell Vero (£9,212) also involved.

The 2025 Goliath was the 16th largest live poker tournament worldwide, with Frederic Morton-Jones and Charles Morton-Jones both participating. Frederic Morton-Jones busted in 44th place, leaving his brother Charles to continue. James Gray busted near the end of the day in the 2025 Goliath, finishing in 54th place.

The Grosvenor Goliath Poker Tournament continues to grow in popularity, offering players a chance to compete in one of the largest live poker tournaments outside Las Vegas. With the success of this year's event, it is expected that the 2026 Goliath will attract even more players, further cementing its place as a major event in the live poker calendar.

PaulWorsley, the champion of the 2025 Grosvenor Goliath Poker Tournament, not only excelled in poker games but also demonstrated his skills in casino-and-gambling, as the tournament was held at the Grosvenor Casino. Meanwhile, the Redtooth Open, another event during the Goliath festival, offered casino-games like the Redtooth Malta 52, where six players, including Timothy Bohane and Alicia Irish, won their way to Malta.
