In a recent reminder, the Abu Dhabi Police have emphasised the importance of road safety for all, particularly in relation to school buses. This call to action is part of the ongoing 'Darab Al Salama 2' awareness series.

Motorists are required to maintain a minimum distance of five metres from school buses, both when they are stationary and when the 'STOP' arm is extended. Failure to comply with this rule can result in a fine of Dh1,000. The aim of 'Darab Al Salama 2' is to ensure the safety of students while boarding or leaving school buses.

The Abu Dhabi Police have also warned drivers about the potential cost of illegal road stops, with such infractions attracting a fine of Dh1,000. Non-compliance can also lead to the accumulation of 10 black points.

In addition to these road safety reminders, the Abu Dhabi Police have warned against rumours and fake news. They have urged the public to verify information before sharing it.

Meanwhile, UAE schools have been highlighted in the 'Darab Al Salama 2' awareness series. This series aims to promote a culture of safety and security among students.

On a separate note, Abu Dhabi Police have also warned about five common cybercrimes targeting kids. They have encouraged parents to educate their children about the potential dangers of the internet and to monitor their online activities.
