On August 12, 2025, a fire broke out at a homeless shelter and asylum accommodation on Schönaicher Straße in Böblingen, Germany. The fire was reported at around 17:10, and it was quickly extinguished by the fire department.

The cause of the fire was a 28-year-old resident setting fire to packaging waste in his room. As a result, an estimated damage of around 1,000 euros was caused. A 29-year-old resident suffered minor smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.
