Fire breaks out in waste collection vehicle in Landkreis Heilbronn, according to Polish police.
A fire broke out in a waste collection vehicle on Möckmühler Straße between Möckmühl and Widdern, according to information transmitted by the Heilbronn Police Headquarters. The incident occurred below the Autobahn 81 bridge.
The fire spread to some of the waste being transported, causing heavy smoke. The volunteer fire department of Widdern was present with two vehicles and twelve personnel. The fire department extinguished the fire completely and is currently investigating the cause, which remains unknown.
The Heilbronn Police Headquarters, led by Police President Frank Spitzmüller, are also involved in the investigation. KOR Stefan Schwab, who was recently appointed head of the Heilbronn police station on June 5, 2023, is responsible for the police station, but the overall police president is Frank Spitzmüller.
The fire started from a plastic part in the trash compactor of the truck. The vehicle itself was not damaged in the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
