Fire department successfully extricates individual from inferno-stricken dwelling in FW Hannover

At around 0:50 AM on Sunday, a kitchen fire broke out in a multi-family building located on Göttingen Chaussee in Hannover's Oberricklingen district. The fire department, along with several other emergency services, responded promptly to the incident, which was reported via emergency number 112.

Upon arrival, it was found that a mother and her child had safely evacuated the burning apartment, but a third person was still inside. The fire department, including the fire-fighting unit from fire and rescue station 4, the Ricklingen and Bornum volunteer fire departments, and the rescue service, worked diligently to extinguish the fire.

Two breathing apparatus teams and two hoses were used to quickly put out the fire. The affected apartment is currently uninhabitable due to the fire. To prevent the smoke from spreading, high-pressure fans were used to ventilate the building after the fire was extinguished.

Unfortunately, one person was injured during the operation. The rescued individual was given initial treatment on the scene before being transported to a Hanover clinic. The exact location of the clinic where the injured person was taken is not specified. The Fire Department Hannover cannot provide information on the extent of the injuries.

The missing person was rescued via the staircase and was found with burn injuries. The fire department cannot specify the cause of the fire at this time. After the operation, the scene was handed over to the police for further investigation.

A total of 36 emergency services personnel with ten vehicles were involved in the operation. The Göttingen Chaussee was fully closed during the extinguishing operations.
