Fire in Brokhausen District Rectified: Area Still Ablaze

The Detmold Fire Department swiftly responded to a field fire that broke out in the Brockhausen district at 16:22. The blaze, burning on an approximately 5 x 30 meter area of a partially harvested field, was extinguished by the arriving crews.

Several motorists reported the fire to the emergency number, alerting the authorities to the situation. The units involved in the incident included the full-time personnel, the North Fire Brigade, and the tank fire truck of the Diestelbruch Fire Brigade.

The North Fire Brigade was the unit responsible for containing and extinguishing the fire. The Brokhausen Fire Brigade, however, was not involved in the incident. A local farmer played a crucial role in preventing the fire from spreading further by creating a firebreak using a Gruber in the unburned part of the field.
