Fire incident in Vohwinkel leaves two people hurt
In the early hours of this morning, a fire erupted on the second floor of an apartment building located on Bahnstraße. The blaze was reported to the fire department at 7 AM, prompting a swift response from both professional and volunteer firefighters.
Upon arrival, the firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the flames, managing to do so quickly. However, the fire's impact was not limited to the second floor. The smoke from the blaze affected units above, rendering them uninhabitable.
As a result of the fire, a man was taken to the hospital for treatment, while a woman was treated on the scene. The current health status of both individuals is unknown.
The extent of property damage caused by the fire is still under assessment, but it is clear that several rooms on the affected floors have been severely affected.
The fire department's efforts to contain the blaze required the complete closure of Bahnstraße until around 8:30 AM.
Despite numerous searches, information about the owner of the rental building affected by the fire remains unavailable.
