Flights departing from Denmark experience disruptions due to German airport workers' strikes

Find yourself shuffling through travel plans again? fourteen flights from Copenhagen Airport might get axed on Monday morning due to work stoppages across eleven airports in Germany.

The Verdi union revealed on Friday it was triggering a full-day strike on March 10th, mobilizing around 23,000 ground handling employees from various airports, including giants like Frankfurt and Berlin.
Airports in Bremen, Cologne, Dortmund, Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, Leipzig, Munich, and Stuttgart will also bear the brunt of the labor action.
This 24-hour labor action starts just after midnight on Monday and continues until 11:59 pm.
Of course, this comes after Hamburg airport was struck prematurely on Sunday, leading to the total suspension of all flights for the day.
A Verdi union spokesperson illuminated on Sunday that the surprise strike was intended to maximize impact and force the airports into negotiations.

You can expect flights to Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt, among others, to experience cancellations on Monday. Likewise, strikes are happening at airports in Stuttgart, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Dortmund, Hannover, Bremen, Berlin, and Leipzig.

Now for the Fine Print
When flights are interrupted by strikes, passengers may be entitled to various forms of compensation. Under EU Air Passenger Rights rules, passengers might receive between €250 and €600 when flights are delayed more than three hours or canceled due to strikes.
Passengers facing a delayed flight of five hours or more can request a full refund and aren't obliged to accept vouchers. Airlines must also offer alternative transportation in some cases, like by train or bus, or reimbursement of costs. If passengers find themselves stuck in the airport for an extended period, airlines must provide food (usually meal vouchers) and cover hotel costs for overnight stays.
