Following a destructive clash, Bayern Munich's Boey extends his apologies.

In an unfortunate turn of events during Saturday evening's match between FC Augsburg and Bayern Munich, Augsburg player Robin Fellhauer suffered a severe concussion following a collision with Sacha Boey.

The incident occurred in stoppage time of Bayern's 3-2 win, leaving Fellhauer immobile on the pitch for several minutes. He was treated on the spot and eventually taken off on a stretcher. Fellhauer was later discharged from the hospital and is currently being monitored.

FC Augsburg coach Sandro Wagner expressed disappointment with the incident, particularly with Boey's reaction and the behaviour of the Bayern bench. Wagner wished Boey had apologized immediately after the collision, not just when Fellhauer was immobile.

Boey, who was shown a yellow card during the match, subsequently apologized to Fellhauer. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany confirmed Boey's apology on behalf of the club. Manchester City legend Kompany also wished Fellhauer a speedy recovery.

Manuel Neuer, Munich goalkeeper, also extended his well-wishes to Fellhauer. Wagner, however, criticized not only Boey but also the behaviour of the Bayern bench, expressing disappointment with some members for their reaction.

Fellhauer's family cried in the dressing room, according to Wagner, adding to the emotional impact of the incident. No further action against Boey or any update on his condition was provided in the article.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of player safety and sportsmanship in football. Both teams and fans are urged to respect the rules and prioritize the well-being of the players.
