In the heart of the Middle East, the Israeli Army's military operation in Gaza City continues to unfold. The operation, now in its third week, has seen the Israeli Army claiming control over 40% of the city, according to their latest statement.

Amidst the ongoing operation, the Israeli Army has warned of a potential bombing campaign against the last tall buildings in Gaza City. Claiming to have found "terrorist infrastructure" within these structures, the Army has issued displacement orders for residents of several neighborhoods.

The situation in Gaza City is far from stable. Tent camps in the "humanitarian zone" have become overcrowded, with international agencies warning that there is no space in many of these places. The humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis, established by the Israeli Army last year, includes vital humanitarian infrastructure such as field hospitals, water pipes, and desalination facilities.

In an attempt to ensure the safety of residents, the Israeli military declared the southern Al-Mawasi area near Khan Yunis a new humanitarian zone on Saturday. This area, housing essential humanitarian infrastructure like field hospitals and water desalination plants, has urged residents to move there for safety.

Meanwhile, protests have erupted across several Israeli cities, with thousands of people demanding an agreement that frees Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Tens of thousands of protesters gathered outside Netanyahu's official residence in Jerusalem, unfurling a yellow ribbon in solidarity with the hostages.

The situation of the hostages has become a topic of concern and debate. Former hostage Ilana Gritzewsky has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for prolonging the captivity of the remaining 48 live hostages "for political reasons". Mothers of abductees in Jerusalem have spoken out about the situation, sharing the impact of videos released by Hamas, describing their sons weakened and facing physical challenges after their captivity.

Hamas, on the other hand, denies the Israeli Army's claims and argues that the attacks are intended to destroy Gaza City. The Israeli Army has been constantly bombing the tent camps in the "humanitarian zone" since the beginning of the offensive.

The human toll of the conflict is staggering. The total number of Palestinian dead in the ongoing Israeli offensive has risen to 64,368, and the number of injured to 162,367. On Friday, more than twenty Palestinians were killed while seeking food in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Army has also been under scrutiny for its actions. On Friday, the Israeli Army demolished a tall residential tower in the city of Gaza after an airstrike. The same day, the Army bombed another high-rise building in Gaza City.

As the conflict continues, the international community is urging both sides to find a peaceful resolution to end the suffering of the civilians caught in the crossfire.
