Ford's Ranger and E-Tourneo Custom models now come in MS-RT editions as well.
Ford is expanding its MS-RT model family with the introduction of electrified versions of the Ranger MS-RT and the E-Tourneo Custom. The new models, developed in collaboration with MS-RT (M-Sport Road Technology), are set to hit European dealerships later this year, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.
Ranger PHEV MS-RT: A Powerful and Efficient Pickup
The Ranger PHEV MS-RT boasts a unique powertrain that combines a 75 kW (102 PS) electric motor with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. This modular setup offers more pulling power than any other series model in its pickup range, with a power output of 207 kW (281 PS) and a maximum torque of 697 Newton meters (Nm).
The battery of the Ranger MS-RT PHEV has a usable storage capacity of 11.8 kilowatt hours (kWh) and enables an all-electric range of up to 40 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. The exterior of the vehicle features exclusive colours reserved for MS-RT models, including Turini Purple, Fast Blue, Yellow Green, and others.
Inside, the Ranger PHEV MS-RT offers sports seats with Eco-Wild and artificial leather upholstery, contrasting blue stitching, and LED-illuminated MS-RT logos on the backrests. The heated sports steering wheel features a blue 12 o'clock marking, and standard equipment includes a 12-inch touchscreen for the Ford Sync 4A communication and entertainment system.
The Ranger PHEV MS-RT is suitable for towing large boats or transporting building materials, with a maximum tow capacity of up to 3.5 tons and a maximum payload of 1,000 kilograms.
E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT: Versatility and Comfort for Eight Passengers
The E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT benefits from the versatility and comfort for up to eight passengers of the series. The powertrain offering includes a powerful plug-in hybrid version and EcoBlue diesel variants. The PHEV variant combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an 11.8 kWh battery for 52 electric kilometers.
The optical appearance of the E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT is defined by a new front grille with integrated spoiler, a full-width LED light bar, and exclusive paint colours like Turini Purple, Fast Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Sunset Orange, and Yellow Green.
The interior features ergonomic sports seats, heated front seats, and LED-illuminated MS-RT logos on the backrests, as well as blue decorative stitching and a heated sports steering wheel with a blue 12 o'clock marking. The E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT is equipped with 19-inch anthracite alloy wheels that reduce unsprung weight and aim to improve road holding and stability in corners without compromising ride comfort.
The E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT offers up to eight passengers a purely electric ride with a maximum output of up to 210 kW (285 PS) and a wide range of driving programs.
Development and Production
Ford and its partners are involved in the development of the electrified version of the Ford Ranger and the fully electric E-Tourneo Custom. Specific partner companies have not been detailed in the search results, but development and production involve Ford's own facilities including the Dearborn Truck Plant and upgrades at Kansas City Assembly Plant.

The Ranger PHEV MS-RT features suspension modifications, including a refined setup with adapted shock absorbers, a 40 mm body lowering, and an increased track width.
