Four individuals apprehended for allegedly involvement in a violent theft, utilizing a knife, by the law enforcement.
In the heart of Meerbusch, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, an unsettling incident occurred on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at around 7:40 PM. A 21-year-old man was near the Tonhalle / Ehrenhof bus stop when he was suddenly grabbed from behind in a headlock by an unknown assailant.
The assailant, accompanied by three other suspects, demanded the victim's valuables. During the incident, the 21-year-old man was struck, and another suspect held a knife to his stomach. The group took the victim's mobile phone and wallet before fleeing towards the Hofgarden.
Fortunately, officers from the local police swiftly arrived at the scene and searched the Hofgarden, apprehending the four suspects. The suspects, aged 27, 17 (Afghan), 18 (Syrian), and 17 (German-Azerbaijani), were temporarily detained.
