Fraudsters Steal €4,000 According to LPI-EF
A 63-year-old resident of Erfurt has fallen victim to a fraudulent scam, losing 4,000 euros on Wednesday afternoon. The incident is currently under investigation by the Thuringian Police.
According to reports, the scammer posed as an employee of the victim's bank and claimed there was an irregularity on their account. The scammer requested the transfer of 4,000 euros to prevent an unauthorized debit. Unfortunately, the victim complied with the request, only realizing it was a scam on Thursday.
The fraud occurred around 3:00 PM in Erfurt. The victim has since filed a report with the police on Thursday afternoon.
